Woo! I just received my Red Leitmark in the mail.
It's kinda silly, I suppose, but it feels nice that there's a game doing this. I've always enjoyed puzzle solving and fancied myself to be pretty good at it. The Leitmark is, as I see it, something of an acknowledgement of puzzle solving ability. Mind Candy has sorta declared itself to be the reigning expert and administrative board when it comes to puzzle solving the world over, so it's nice of them to send out Leitmarks to people who do well.
Admittedly, the Red Leitmark isn't saying "This person is fantastic at puzzle solving, outta his way!" The Red one is more like a mark of being adequette, not being good.
Looks like the only thing for me to do is to try and keep getting more Leitmarks until I can finally claim the Purple one. Heck, if I can find some way to get more free puzzle cards (it's great, there are people online who are just giving these things away out of the goodness of their heart), I might be able to even claim the legendary Silver Leitmark some day.
That'd rock.
Anyway, enough stupid hopes and dreams about things that don't apply to the real world. I'm supposed to be writing a term paper.
