Hi SF - just recently I have seen several offers of Taittinger champagne in supermarket flyers and on online sites. The name rang a bell, and I have just checked our notes on the Reims meet. That really was the champagne place we visiting when we were there.
Have they changed hands, or just their marketing strategy? Or was there such a good harvest this year that they can sell off the rest cheaply to German customers?
And, by the way - je te souhaite une bonne fête de Noel et du Nouvel An!

Hi TC, I've not heard of any changes at the head of Taittinger, and I think the harvest was rather smaller this year due to bad weather so I don't know what to make of it. Maybe it is indeed just a change in marketing strategy.
