If it is a pastry that you eat it is scone. If it is the place in Scottland it is spelt scone and pronounced scoon. Does that help?

The cake. I pronounce it sconn, but I know that tons of people say scone. I think it's something to do with where you come from- or it's atleast where your parents come from. Or your parents parents. Or your parents parents parents.

Well, actually both my parents come from east England and one says 'scone' and the other says 'sconn'. When I say it, there is a 50-50 chance of me saying scone, and a 50-50 chance of me saying sconn, and I never know which I'm going to say til I've said it. Which is interesting.
