There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Jan 3, 2007
What is the world coming to!!! I predict the fall of the monarchy and a wailing and a gnashing of teeth.

I am still getting over the fact that the two drivers of my Dad's horse-driven hearse were women dressed in men's clothing.

Which part of it are you not getting over? Their gender? The kind of job they were given? Whether the clothes seemed right for them? The fact that your dad was conveyed in a horse-drawn vehicle (I've seen lots of hearses, but never ever a horse-drawn one.)

The only Beefeaters I've ever seen are on bottles of gin.
What is the meaning behind these "beefeater" chaps ( & chaplet) anyway?

Wot be a beefeater?
According to my friend Wikipedia, "The Yeomen Warders of Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London, popularly known as the Beefeaters, are ceremonial guardians of the Tower of London. In principle they are responsible for looking after any prisoners at the Tower and safeguarding the British crown jewels, but in practice they act as tour guides and are a tourist attraction in their own right."
My favorite thing to do in London (aside from use the Tube) was touring the Tower of London with a beefeater. It's the first thing I recommend to anyone I *ever* hear is going to London for the first time.
That job would be so very cool.
And ... hee hee ... pheloxi, you're awesome.

Sorry, that should be the *Tower* of London, not the London of London.

I would love to visit the London of London again. It's nothing like the London of Denver.
But the Denver of Denver? That can't be beat!

Nah ... the Denver of Denver is like an old drum. You can't beat it!
(hee hee... my granddad is to be thanked for that one!)
