What plans had you made with your friends ofor thursday, then? I'm not much for birthdays myself, but you shouldn't have to be unhappy on your birthday.

i arranged to go bowling...but one friends best mates birthday is the same day and she barely ever gets to see her so i told her to go with her mate...the other couldnt make it down from Stirling because of the exams.........and my friend Moe from Pitlochry...well i told her not to come because shes still got exams and no one else could come etc etc!
Anyway i'm actually a bit happier because my mum & dad have my birthday prezzie in there bed room (which i am band from goinf into now) and i'm sat here at the computer right next to there door which i am despretly trying to stop my self from having a wee peek...but that would ruin the surprise

Ummm.. Okay.. I think I'll let that explanation continue its journey straight over my head and keep going out into cyber space.
Good to hear that you're feeling a bit happier now. Only two days to go.. Getting excited?

A wee bit i suppose...i'd be more excite if i was at school and had stuff to do with my days...instead all i've been doing is playing theme hospital on the PS and listening to CD's that i wish i had put on the tape i sent my mate Moe...i suggested we sent each other tapes of our favorite bands and songs and stuff (i've seen her for a total of an 1hour in 7 year....we've been friends for 10 years though anyway i found this Lenny Kravites CD with a live version of Fly Away...its much softer than the original because its just being done on acoustic guitar i wouldnt mind being able to play it actually
What Bands are you into? i forget whether we've talked abot that or not?
Anyway TTFN

Sending each other tapes with recorded songs is a good idea.
I think we already covered the subject of what bands we were into in one of the earlier threads, but I don't mind refreshing your (and probably my own) memory a bit.
I like music which has lyrics that you can hear, and melodies that you can go about humming all day if you feel like it. I like to listen to Genesis, Phil Collins, Mike & the Mechanics, and I've recently started to enjoy the Corries (you know, "Flower of Scotland" and all that) and I also like music that you can just listen to for the pure chill-out value, like traditional songs, instrumental songs and also some classical music.
So, I'm pretty much an all round music listener.

I never really liked the Beatles very much. Sure, they have a couple of good songs, but so did a lot of other bands as well.Same with ABBA. Everybody thinks that I should like ABBA because I'm from Sweden. But maybe just because I come from Sweden I don't like them.... Oh well.. I'll stick with the Corries.

I so totally agree with you. I mean, what is with this ABBA obsession over here? Back in Sweden, you'll nearly never hear ABBA at a nightclub, but over here, you hear at least two or three songs by them. I'm just tired of ABBA........

Yes, they do. Oh well, I guess there isn't much we two can do about it. We'll just have to go on despising ABBA.
How was the weekend. I'm pretty banged up today. I was down in Bolton yesterday, playing American Football. We got beat 50-12, but we still liked it pretty much, since this was the first time in about 8 or 9 games that we have actually scored. But I still hurt pretty much everywhere today.

I could definitely live in an ABBA-free world.
And yes, American Football is vicious, but I still like it alot. Maybe just because of it being vicious. I dunno. I can't say that I'm very fond of rugby, though, even if it's better than cricket, or (DD will hate me for saying this, but) lawn bowls.

I do apologies for not replying sooner...How are you?
Rain...snow...i've missed talking to you!
Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!) Posted Jun 25, 2001
Hello, there.
Don't worry about not replying sooner.. It happens from time to time. Nothing to worry about.
I'm doing relatively fine today.. A bit banged up from an American Football game we played yesterday. We were down in Yorkshire. Didn't get home until 3am this morning, so I'm a bit tired. The fact that I only got about an hour and a half of sleep before going to the bus to get to the game didn't really help either.
I overslept for work this morning because of me getting home so late. Got in about an hour late, even though I thought I was two hours late.
One of my teammates and also a colleague was injured in yesterday's game. He was tackled from behind (illegaly) and was unfortunate enough to fracture his leg. So he's in the hospital getting metal pins and screws inserted in his leg now. Quite nasty.
But other than that, yesterday was fun. It was bloody hot, though.
