What kind of mother?
Posted Apr 28, 2006
My ex called me a little while ago. She apparently kicked my stepson, W, out last night. She didn't go into details or reasons, except for one: She was tired of her stepmom yelling at her about his room not being cleaned. What the hell is up with that?!? He's not even 13!

Fate

Fate is an interesting beast.
It occured to me a few minutes ago that I just completed the communications class that I had dropped last semester because the professor didn't show up the first 2 days of class. I met Amber in communications. I don't even want to think about what things would be like if that prof had shown up.

The Session and the Young Adults
Posted Apr 25, 2006
I got a call from a former Session (http://www.answers.com/topic/presbyterian-church) member at the Presbyterian Church today. The current Session apparently wants to get together with the core members of the now defunct Young Adults Group that was headed by Pastor J from its inception and which I was a member of. They apparently are having some difficulty understanding some of the reactions that some members of said group are having regarding J's stepping down.
It is good that they want to find and stop any problems. Some questions come to mind with this action. If this particular Session (which leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion) is asking for a meeting with this group, how many people are feeling the way that I am? How many in my age group have said something, or intimated, about leaving the church?
The meeting is this coming sunday after services, I both look forward to it and loathe going because I know who some of the people who were involved in J's resignation are and some of them will be at this meeting.

The egg donor part whatever number we are up to

Once again, the ex fails to come through. The kids were supposed to spend this week with her because they are not in school and I am. She's been having some back problems and apparently collapsed while at church today, while I do feel kind of sorry for her I don't feel too bad because she really has no one to blame but herself. She doesn't take care of herself. This leaves me in a rather tight bind. I can't leave the kids home by themselves while I am in class and there is no one in the neighborhood that I really trust to watch them. The end of semester is 3 weeks away and I cannot afford to miss any classes especially not tomorrow because I have a test. To top it all off, Amber and I were supposed to go out sometime this week because I wasn't supposed to have the kids. So much for those plans.

Human nature vs. the alleged word of God
Posted Mar 27, 2006
Someone I consider to be a very good friend of mine has decided that it is time to resign from his position as Associate Pastor at the church I have attended for the majority of my life. Apparently, there is a passage in the bylaws of the Presbyterian Church (USA) that prohits unmarried pastors from having sexual relations. I looked for this passage and was unable to find it. Regardless of whether or not it is in there, I am f***ing pi**ed that he felt forced to resign because of human nature.
Last I checked, Genesis 9:1 said "Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth." I do not recall having read anywhere in the Bible that says a priest/pastor needs to be celibate so I don't really see what the problem is. Though I do see a great contradiction.
