Grimly enraged
The only reason that I registered is so that I could complain about the ridiculous entry available for <B>Winchester</B>, Hampshire, England.
I don't know what everyone has against the place. I agree that as far as nightlife goes its not exactly brimming - but I never enjoyed that kind of thing much anyway (well, only after a gallon or more of not very fine ale). I figure if the only way you can enjoy the company of your mates is in some hellhole which causes your ears to ring for the next fortnight (and precludes <I>anything</I> resembling a conversation) then you are either thick as pig excretia or really don't have any friends.

I moved to Winchester after uni and it suits me down to the ground. I live 3 mins walk from work, get paid London weighting, and it has (apparently) more pubs per capita than anywhere else in Britain. Personally, I have a selection of 4 favourite locals, and they are all well inside 5 mins walk.

Shops are small but adequate, and London's only an hour away by train anyway.
<P>
<B>So what's the problem?</B> You tell me.
