I am also a bookworm. Richard has just agreed to increase the number of bookcases in our front room (living room, lounge, call it what you will), but that's partly to increase the amount of space available for videos. In the past I've read most things (Except romance. That bores me rigid!), but my main interests now are history (pre-20th century), natural history (especially dinosaurs / evolution), travel (expeditions pre-20th century and/or 'what went wrong' books. I have a morbid sense of curiosity.), myths and legends, 'classics', and some modern stuff. The last 'unreadable' book I read was 'War and Peace' by Leo Tolstoy, which is now an 'old friend' (I've read it about 5 times). Maybe I should tackle 'Finnegans Wake'!

You could try Finnegans Wake. That's an option which is open to you. You'll soon rename it Cheerful Dragon's Asleep. It's the ideal cure for insomnia.
