A Tiring Day

This was a very tiring day for me as last night i slept late (around 3am). I woke up at 10.30 and i had a meeting with my crew at 11.
I got ready in a record time, didnt even had my meal and when i was all set to leave, i came to know that my brother already took my bike with him. I was left to go by using public transport, that means that i would reach there within at least 2 hours. So i called my guys and asked them to postponed the programme for one hour or so and they seemed happy with this(so happy that one of them didnt even show up or updated about his status).
I reached there at 1.30 and i found one of my frnds waiting there for me on the bus stop.
We called the other one(who was our host for this meeting) and came to know that it would take him around 20 minutes to reach us as he was busy shopping.
We both were hungry so we went to the nearby McDonalds and had something to eat. The staff there was so polite thatn when we finished our meal and decided to stay for around 10 more minutes or so, they politely asked us to leave as we have already finished our meal. So we left.
It was 2.15 now(more than 20 minutes)and we were still waiting, tried to call our host but he didnt answer the call.
Waited for 15 more minutes and we came to know that he was about to reach there in just 5 minutes.
After 15 more minutes we again recieved a call knowing that it would take him just 5 minutes now.
Finally after 5 minutes he arrived and we went to his place.
Worked there for about 3 hours and than we left.
I caught a bus for my place and kept standing as there was no seat available for 2 straight hours again.
Reached my part of town and walked for home.
Reached home and found that there was no ELECTRICITY as there was a POWER CUT in our area.
I just went into my balcony and dropped dead there as the cold breeze took me over.
I woke up and found that the POWER was resumed and so i moved in my living room.
Kept watching TV, finished my dinner and than did some work on my computer.
It was 12.30 and i thought to get some sleep.
So i tried to sleep and i woke up(again), it was my phone which was ringing.
The transport helpdesk of my Co. was on line. I confirmed my stts and after 10 minutes my cab was waiting for me outside my home. I boarded the cab and reached office around 2.30.
I dont know how the hell i am gonna cope up but i am trying to push it to my best however this sleep is tryin to get over me again and i am writing this journal at the same time.
I ll be reachin home aroud 2pm today and still dont know if i would have my meal at that time or will just go to sleep.
Lets see.

Khurja : The birth of an ancient town in India

'Khurja'; is derived from the 'Urdu' word 'KHARIJA' meaning 'CANCELLED'.

It is a small town in the BULANDSHAHAR(meaning the GREAT/HIGH CITY) Distt. of the Uttar Pradesh state in India.

It's history dated back around 1600 A.D. when Tamur'the Lame' a Muslim Invader attacked some northern parts of India. After the gruesome battles his soldiers fought(who were mostly craftsmen like potters and carpenters, and were forcibly recruited in the forces), a lot of them were severly injured and were unable to continue with the voyage along with their army, so a small chunk of that army stopped and established in this town (which actually was not a town at that time)which was a marshy area with swamps all around the place.
So for some time they stayed hidden but after some time when there was nothing left to eat with them they started to wander around the neighbouring villages.
Most of these left-over soldiers were potters and since the craft they knew was not of the traditional indian style, it caught quite popularity and they adapted it as a trade.
Now the town was starting to flourish with different kinds of people and business coming in as all the things are inter-related. So that town turned into quite a folurished place.
Since most of the town was in a swampy area there was a rare scope of farming and agricultural possibilities. So the tax on this area was waived off and thus the town was named 'KHARIJA' as the taxes on this land were CANCELLED.
One thing which remained successful in being carried over the ages in this town was the pottery work(it is still famous and strikingly amazing) which evolved into many forms with the passing time. The most famous form of this ceramic work is known as the BLUE POTTERY.
KHURJA had witnessed some really great events of the Indian History, from the EAST INDIA Co.'s reign to the Indian Revolt and Feedom untill this modern days. This town raised to the highest standards of all of the things a town could be and after that it also had seen its fall due to the lack of the education and self-pride of the locales and these days this has remained to just another small town of India, where most of the people aren't even aware of the glorious past of this town.
One can still see the remains of the shiny past of this town which have died sue to the ignorance.
