Would you consider interviewing me, on what the h2g2c3 committee have been up to on the save h2g2 mission?

There's been lots going on and it would be a great way of getting the message out to wider h2g2.

Erm - I'll mention it to Bel and see what she says.

The consortium in general already has a pretty high profile around the areas where interested people are likely to be (and as you're no doubt aware, there's been at least one complaint h2g2c2/3/whatever people spamming threads).

At the very least I think the Post should avoid just directly plugging the consortium (we have - or had - a fairly odd but welcome relationship with the italics where they cut us a little more slack, and I would hate to endanger that by appearing partisan in a sensitive area).

I'm assuming you've read a past MMI, in which you know that the usual standard of questioning is at about the level of 'what's your favourite duck'. Even if we go beyond that it won't be a 'please tell us your brilliant plan to save h2g2'-style interview. I'd feel obliged to take you for a walk, so to speak.

Assuming everybody's agreeable to it happening, I'm guessing you'd like to do it sooner rather than later. I always used to do MMI by email, which took weeks - with Paul G we did it via Facebook chat. Let me know how you'd like to do it.

No, that's what I want! I can write all I want about 'The Brilliant plan to save h2g2'.. What I want is to be able to answer other people's questions, and I don't know what they are. Also I saw your interview with Paul and I knew that you'd be the right person.

Bel and I have agreed there is indeed a place for rampant egotism in the Post and an interview might not be a bad idea. If this is going to get into next week's Post we ideally need to sort it by the end of Friday.
