We're looking at overhauling the University, and we're contacting every Researcher with a project listed.

What stage is your project at, and is it ready to go? There are quite a few options available for projects that are (how should I put it) 'slightly' late.

I loved Chocky when I was younger.

Me too - the rather good TV adaptation has just come out on video which I keep meaning to track down...

But anyway.

Umm... the project is, let's be nice, partly done at best. There's an article done on JW as a writer and completed entries on some of the novels (plus half-done ones on a few others). The rest is still knocking around my desk in note form.

If you're looking for feedback on the university process, I found the single deadline a bit off-putting... and once I'd missed it there was little to discourage the tendency to keeping putting things off.

I'd still really like to get the thing finished. I'll talk to Shazz about postponing my next series for the Post and work on this instead. Thanks for the kick up the fundament!

Glad to hear it. The deadline is one of the things that we'll be looking at, and maybe offering more nagging, er, I mean customer support.

If it will help, how about if we give you another 4 weeks to finish it, before we come knocking again? Will that give you the 'kick up the fundament' you need? I can change the page to reflect the new date.

Erm... can't absolutely promise to get the thing done and dusted by the end of the month, but will endeavour to reach a point where the end is in sight (at least). How will that do?

Um... I'm afraid I've had a few computer problems over the last few weeks, so while a lot more material has been written, none of it's been actually put up on the site yet. How's that for a weasly non-answer?

I shall persevere. I don't suppose you could kick me again in another month or so...?
