H2G2 isn't blocked (phew) but a very large number of other sites are.
In Shanghai at present - having a lovely but tiring time as lots of walking around temples and such.
The city is much improved since I was last here (18 years ag) - the metro is excellent and the roads are less chaotic.

There's a lot less of that type of thing around altogether.
I think the reduction in wealth disparity between PRC citizen and tourist has made it less lucrative?
