I have decided to cut back on the anti-social networking and so dropped back in here. It is (by comparison) very civilised.

I've noticed you posting on a couple of threads, Duncan. The coincidence is mind-boggling: Only yesterday did GB mention dog's bollocks, and that she'd never heard of the expression. Upon which I dug up the British English Thread and posted a link to it - of course, you figured quite prominently in that thread....
Please excuse me writing out the d's b's in full. I tried to moderate it by putting in asterisks, and then replacing the cks with an x, but the filter/filther only allowed me to post when I wrote it out in all its glory! Obviously, we are not encouraged to be coy.

I have recently had to explain to my US colleagues what the "Bollocks to Brexit" stickers mean - it doesn't translate well
I am doing a public speaking evening course and have decided that "Bacillus 2-9-3" (which I wrote an H2G2 article on) is an appropriate subject.
So - how are we all?

Is that a British or Irish slogan? If even the Irish aren't happy with Brexit, we really are all in a pickle. OTOH it doesn't surprise me.

It is very much a British expression - the chap who runs Pimlico Plumbers (based in London) has a huge sign with it on his building and is resisting injunction to take it down.
Key: Complain about this post
