No fair, you get to put your own photo on h2g2...I want to put MY photo on h2g2! How do I do it? It's a cool one, I swear! I'm wearing a "So long and thanks for all the fish" shirt. I know...awesome.

Ah there's a mildly interesting story behind that picture. It was taken back in November 2000 (before the BBC got their mitts on the site) at the London h2g2 winter meet. Peta, who was Community Editor back in those days had a camera and took the picture. That and several others from the meetup were hosted on site. Hold on I'll just dig out the link...
A493706 is the start of the trail. There's 17 other pages, and that's not including the pages for the caption competition that they had
Your best bet these days for getting your photo on site is to attend a meet, and write something about it for with a link to the pictures

Well geez, then! Guess I better get to that London Winter meet Good thing I'll BE IN ENGLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER FOUR DAYS BEFORE! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! *sigh*
I'll totally wear my "So long and thanks for all the fish" shirt. It...kicks...butt. Are YOU going to be at the London winter meet? How old are you, anyway? I'm afraid I'm going to be the youngest person at the meet-up...

At the moment I'm still only a possible, but a very possible.
Don't worry about the age thing, there's always a good age spread at the meets. As for the other question, according to my page (just below the picture in fact ) I'm 25

Lancaster's very nice. I almost went there to uni but ended up at Liverpool instead. Don't panic, just get yourself a good guide.
