Free at last

I have just handed in my computing AS project. Pure evil incarnate in 1/4 inch of paper. Just think of all those trees.
Whatever you do, if you have to do a program, don't do AS Computing, unless you are going to get lots of help with the writeup. Do the testing while programming - otherwise you'll be completely stuffed.
But now I have to concentrate on my exams....

Celeron 400, Celeron 400, da de de da da, da de deee da da!
Posted Dec 19, 1999
I have finally got my computer updated to something slightly quicker than a drunk tortoise - a celeron 400. It's a nice machine, but the best part is that I can access h2g2 from home, now, not just at school. Now all I need is the access to an ISDN line...

We're off to Chamonix
Posted Oct 11, 1999
On Wednesday, I'm off to Chamonix with 32 other pupils and three members of the Geography department on a field trip. I can't wait. (well, I'll have to, won't I!) I've had to get some stuff from town (and I saw Abi in town) and I have to get to school for 4 o'clock ... in the morning. (yawn!) But having a group of 36 on a plane for 50 makes me sorry for the other 14 we might be sharing with. I'll of course submit a Guide Entry to h2g2 when I return on Monday [next Monday]

The Beginning
Posted Oct 8, 1999
In the Beginning there was h2g2... I went to it. And saw it was good. Despite the opening page looking like the source code to a web page (it was... err... the source code to a web page), I managed to find a way in, by searching for h2g2. So I entered. I tried to enter under '[email protected]' but nothing ever arrived. So I used the more boring '[email protected]' and joined.
The Cow is the name I use here. I needed something original, and for some unknown reason the word ' C - O - W ' seems to be pre-emiment in my thoughts. So I used it.
I live next to a small farm with many very expensive, very big cows. These are pretty intelligent (for cows) and enjoy watching me mow the grass.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
