Why H St. Self Storage?
I didn't like being Researcher 96418....but being unable to come up with any name more clever, I looked out the window and took my name from the building across the street. It's a new sign, garish actually, and an utterly dreadful purple. So of course it's perfect for me. I intend to be the fingernails on the chalkboard of the Guide and make myself a pest. Join me, won't you?
I used to have a page dedicated to Square and Round Dancing. It was on the Prodigy service and I had to close it when they stopped operating October 1, 1999. (Prodigy said it was because they were not Y2K compliant and it would cost too much to fix for the few people still left on their service. It was exactly that attitude that caused people to flee their service like it had running cold sores.)
For some reason that site is still operating and accessible even though I can no longer update it. Luckily, before I lost contact, I deleted most of the info and said goodbye formally with a Douglas Adams quote. If you would like to see it you may go to http://pages.prodigy.com/sq.dance" >http://pages.prodigy.com/sq.dance until someone gets wise and pulls the plug on that too.
As for me, I am a middle-aged man with lots more stomach than hair, and lots more time to waste than anything valuable to waste it on. That is until h2g2 came along. Now I have a mission in life. I will someday get an entry added to this guide and therefore I will be somewhat immortal. At least until the abridged paperback version comes out. I have decided this is much easier than trying to carve my name into something relatively permanent when no one is watching, and way much easier than actually accomplishing something of lasting merit. (Like inventing a machine to generate completely unbreakable computer passwords using letter combinations like R5yri, &iwu@2, or Ted.)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
