Yay! smiley - cheers See, that wasn't so hard, was it? I hope you'll submit it to Peer Review for real, but be prepared for some of the cutest parts to be snipped in the process. Great title, but they're usually formulaic about these things. They'll want probably want "Yoko Ono - the artist" or something. But I could be wrong.

Are you sure John didn't use heroin? I don't know whether Yoko used or whether she can be blamed for John using, but I could have sworn a lot of sources said that he was using. Weren't they separated while he tried to dry out one time? I might have heard it from biased or incorrect sources, but it might be good to check around the web and see if a solid, credible source confirmed which drugs John used or whether he used anything.

What's ITMA?

"...an incident or two with Harry Nilsson" ??? Was John bi-curious?

The only typo I noticed was "It is impossible at this this late date..." under the subheader "Premature dedication of a statue."

If you can find answers to your last three questions at the end of the entry, it looks like really solid Edited Guide material. Thanks for showing it to me!

I was a Lennon fanatic at one time.
I used to have two or three of Yoko's albums, too.

ITMA stands for "It's That Man, Again!", the catchphrase and title of a WWII era British radio show. I'll footnote that.

Since I am only concerned about the time he was with Yoko and I really don't want to think about it, I'm thinking of yanking the reference to heroin out all together.

I'm also thinking about yanking the reference to Yoko keeping him alive, with regard to the other's deaths.

Harry Nilsson was actually supposed to be keeping an eye on John.
Bad idea. They got arrested at least once, during the famous "tampon" episode, and kicked out of a couple of other places.
The primal scream therapy that John and Yoko went through about the time they got together was supposed to be some kind of withdrawal therapy for John's predilection for hash and, I think, cocaine.

I've got a couple of books from the library. We'll see what they say.

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to splel-cheking, yet.
But Zarquon's Singing Fish says I'm doing better than most.
