Unverse
uh? Isn't that a rather weird moniker? Didn't you mean "Universe"?
No.
There's a slightly archaic expression: to be "versed" in a subject. People might say, "Oh he's well versed in DHTML". Actually, they're more likely to say, "What a nerd that guy is" but just set that on one side. So of course it's possible to be "unversed". I am unversed in the mysteries of commodities trading.
Sometimes I think people today are intelligent but ignorant.8-) They know a lot of stuff, but a not lot of what's important. They know what a pizza ought to cost or how to email or what to wear to the office or how to make a collect call. But they don't know what the Renaissance was or that the bulk of the universe is "dark matter" or how some people in the global village are persecuted for their beliefs. Most US university students can't place Paris (France) on a map of the world. These people need unversing in what they know so they can... oh you get it.
