h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Had the unexpected happen - my first ever staff member and quite frankly my 'rock' suddenly let me down in a big way about a week ago and I had to 'accept' his resignation. Then someone else had some time off, so I had to go out dog walking for two days. Now someone else has gone off sick for at least a week. Just hope he's back and it's not something more long term because by then someone else will be having time off again...

It's a conspiracy?!

I've had to go back to dog walking, which obviously I don't mind, and having one less staff member is 28 less days that I have to pay out for someone doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. But just adjusting to the new routine again is a bit annoying as I was trying to do other things with the time, that should eventually earn more money than walking the dogs myself... Gah...

Something will come along.

Swings and roundabouts. I remember having horrible, horrible days, sometimes a few days at a time, when I had my little furniture business in London. Then the pendulum would swing the other way, and the weird thing was that very often after having a particularly bad day, the very next day would be fantastic

It'll turn around sooner or later

Well all days are fun (except today the ten minutes I spent looking for one of *my* dogs worried he'd got stuck down a rabbit hole, and resigned to taking customers dogs home and coming back to look for him later only to find him waiting by the van), just some are more tiring than others.

I should spend less time faffing around online (ha ha well it's been over 15 years now and THAT hasn't happened...) and more time actually doing the work...
