Have I really not made a journal entry for two weeks?
Er.
Well.
Anyone who is on my friends list, please recommend a friend on their list who posts interesting journals that won't be freaked out if I suddenly subscribe and start joining in.
I tried mucking in PR and didn't like the attitude of the contributers, or the new rules, then I tried Ask h2g2 but it's quiet like the grave in there.

Tis still on a bit of an end-of-summer quiet thing in Ask at the moment... A couple interesting conversations though, but not much going on really...

KB, HonestIago, Gnomon are three journal writers whom it is worth following. And GB of course - but expect you've got all those on your list. Wandrin Star, maybe.
In fact, I'd be interested to hear about new journals to subscribe to as well.

It might be just me, but I'm finding this place much slower and quieter than it was a few years ago... The first page of my conversations list includes postings that were made 22 hours ago... There was a time when stuff would drop off the first page after about 10 minutes... And I'm still subscribed to the same conversations.

I've found that too. There's often one day a week where no conversation has been updated overnight, and you have to remember that I'm six hours behind UK time, so most of the people in conversations I'm subscribed to are getting up soon after I go to bed.
I tried taking part in Ask but it just made me go 
in rotation so I gave it up.

same here... but my journals tend to be... kinda eratic, or just stupid... sometimes both if I'm feeling particularly peculiar, or oddly odd, I guess...
