Good to have you back.
Irving Washington Posted Sep 5, 2007
<--------Still views the site exclusively in Goo.
Good to have you back.

I have no idea how anyone can view the site in Brunel. Even Alabastard is better than that.
Good to have you back.
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Sep 7, 2007
I hate Brunel, but I'm stuck with it: in Alabaster & Goo I use frames, and I'm one of the people suffering from the cache problem. You absolutely cannot get alabaster frames to refresh, even with Ctrl-F5 in Firefox.
Good to have you back.
Dizzy the Void Posted Sep 7, 2007
I generally try not to use frames when I can avoid them in general.
Good to have you back.
Irving Washington Posted Sep 7, 2007
I like frames. For instance, those frameless glasses they're coming out with now kinda creep me out.
Good to have you back.
Afgncaap5 Posted Sep 7, 2007
I use frames. It makes it easier for me to jump around to different conversations in the same forum.
I'm also in Expert Mode, though I honestly have no idea what that means.
Good to have you back.
Dizzy the Void Posted Sep 7, 2007
I haven't a clue what that means either. I suppose I could try turning it off, just to see what happens ...
Good to have you back.
Irving Washington Posted Sep 7, 2007
In Goo, I think it adds those little red and green LEDs that let you see exactly which post each response is too... which is only really usefull when comments are made out of order, or if you're at the bottom of a thread and think you might not notice... actually, I think it might make more sense to call it "inexpert" mode.
Good to have you back.
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Sep 7, 2007
Yeah, it implies a whole different way of looking at conversations than how we actually do participate. In Brunel, the thingy looks like the governor on a steam engine, which is, I suppose, thematically correct.
Good to have you back.
Irving Washington Posted Sep 7, 2007
Whose idea was Brunel, anyway? It makes me want to run away every time I accidentally catch a glimpse of it.
