I hope you don't mind me contacting you through this route .
As a close associate of Alastair Cook I'd be grateful if you can correct an error on Alastair's biography. The sentence "His father Graham is an English high street banker and village cricketer." should be replaced by "His father Graham is a former BT Engineer and village cricketer." The original reference in the Independent in 2006 is the source of the error.
The authoritative reference for this suggested change is P4 of his book "Starting out- my story so far". I believe this is electronically available through Amazon Kindle.
This error is proving increasingly annoying to his family as the Wikipedia information is being quoted in many of the current articles.
The page is otherwise excellent and the up to date editing re. the current series is very impressive. I guess you have been responsible for large chunks of the contributions .

Unfortunately it looks like Prof. Chaos hasn't used this site for a few years.
Are you talking about the Wikipedia entry or a specific h2g2 article? If it is a h2g2 article please post a link to it, so I can ask to get it amended.
Many thanks,
Vip

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it is a Wikipedia article and I was trying to contact the contributor who gave a h2g2 contact. I'll try other routes.
h2g2 looks interesting so I'lll stay for a while.

Ah, I see. Good luck in your search.
Always happy to have new members! Let me know if you have any other questions about the site - I've been here a while so although I don't know everything I usually know someone who does.
All the best,
