Warm greetings as you enter My H2G2 abode I am known as Ian42, H2G2 Researcher, bagpiper extraordinaire, college student, and slightly Mad wanderlust traveller. To understand who I am, click the section you wish to read about.Donald: the religious life
I am a Unitarian Universalist by upbringing, and have been involved with the Young Religious Unitarian Universalists for the past 2 1/2 years. In that time I've served as both the Registrar1 one of the Electronic Communications Officers2, and currently in the role of "The Big Brother"3 on the Youth Adult Commitee (YAC). We plan all the conferences and events for YRUU youth across the states of Michigan4, Indiana, and parts of Ohio and Kentucky. One of the delightful parts of conferences and UUism and YRUU is that there are so many different beleifs between all the people involved. My personal theology, and the reason am not a vegitarian, can be found soon on my page here. I am also a minister for the Universal Life Church. The ULC is pretty neat in that they will ordain anyone for the asking. It is their belief (and also one of mine) that everyone can have a personal relationship with their god(ess) or multiples thereof, if any, and that it is everyone's right to share their beleifs with anyone willing to listen.
Donald: the Musician
If music can soothe the savage beast, I must not have an evil bone in my body. It is an odd time when I have no music playing around me, or am not playing myself. I play the Great Highland Bagpipes, and have for over a decade now. Recently I've also become interested in playing some Scottish Smallpipes, tin whistle and keyboards.
