"For recent I thought it to be just a name of the yacht. It comes to me however there is more about the phrase 'English Rose' perhaps you could write an entry about it?

The phrase English Rose applied to the beautiful teenage girls of long ago, unfortunately, they do seem to be slowly going the way of the Dodo.
The creamy white skin is the white rose, the flush of youth is the red rose, result, a typical English rose. The mixing of races results in the American type skin colour, the rubbish food consumed, and the lack of real excercise and fresh air gives a sallow unhealthy appearance.
On the other hand the full bloom of youth, beauty and good health can also be seen in a great many coloured girls. And on T.V. this week the children of Poland could be seen as outstandingly good looking and apparently, extremely healthy.
