Why don't you do the voting like the Eurovision Song Contest so that you can vote for anybody else, but not your own entries? It's hard enough getting entries off people so it would probably be even harder to get a reasonable number of judges.
Also, some people have offered more than 1 piece. If you get entries from enough people, I think it would be nice to pick the best entry (according to the votes) from each person so that you would then end up with the widest group of writers in the book.
What do you think?
