I see you've got your tag on a single edited entry, but seem to be trying for more. Good! A few friendly tips to make it easier:
Read the writing-guidelines. The Guide is an encyclopedia, and its entries are on those kind of factual topics. Granted, they get at times, but that's the basic idea. An encyclopedia entry.
Peer Review is a joint effort. You put effort into something, other researchers comment on it and help improve it. Nothing is beyond improvement.
Don't get defensive.
-yeah, the guy may not know as much as you. But he's taking the time to review your entry, and he'll have a say in whether or not it's picked.
Make changes.
-even if you think they're nitpicking, change it, and do it with a .
If you get defensive over every change reviewers get annoyed, forget your entry, and let it drop to the bottom of the heap where it will be summarily moved to the flea market.
Anyway, that's my on the topic, as a Scout and Sub and writer of 7 or 9 edited entries. Hope to see more of your stuff around soon.

Thanks very much Leo, you are star, I will print out your tips, but I do have too much work to do to waste my time.
This project is already in the possession of the Transport Minister, it was forwarded by the P.M.some time ago. To be truthful I do not think there is a place for my work in h2g.

Very possible. h2g2 is an encyclopedia, and its entries are pretty narrowly defined. If thats not your forte, then getting something in can be pretty frustrating.

Thanks Bob once again,
Reading the link you have given me it looks as if some of the members on here should be having a read of it themselves, as usual with members of clubs, groups etc, they seem to have bound themselves with home made rules and regulations, just like old people do in old people's homes. "Who's been sitting in my chair etc."
The original thoughts of Douglas Adams seem to have a more open point of view, am I wrong Bob?
Hope you are well, not seen much of you lately, although I played your video again last night! Gud innit!
Cheers H.

Well I think we need to differentiate between a Guide Entry and an Edited Guide Entry.
A Guide Entry can be about anything, can be opinionated, can say whatever the writer pleases, so long as it doesn't contravene house rules.
As a matter of quality control, though, there is the Edited. Entries accepted to the Edited Guide need to fit the <./>writing-guidelines</.>.
Peer Review and the Edited Guide Writing Workshop are both review forums for entries going into the Edited Guide.
If you don't want your writing in the Edited Guide, then don't submit it. Alternatively, you could submit it to The Post or the Alternative Writing Workshop, which are for things that don't fit into the Edited Guide.
Key: Complain about this post
