Another great issue. I loved the "from the Archives" feature. Someone needs to raid the Awix archive for that one!

I'm sure that will happen at some point! Milliways is generating a bit of interest, you know:

I've got one already in for the next issue, and another to write as well

It could be a while before I get my three done - computer's still completely knackered.

You're not having an awful lot of luck at the moment, are you? It's like bad luck is coming in three lots of three rather than just the standard amount...

Hopefully it's all out of the way now - things might start looking better if we win on Sunday, then there's my first bumper paycheck...

At least you have the bumper paycheck as a consolation. Torquay got battered by Exeter, then lost the FA Trophy final within a week, and all I got was a credit card bill...

Ain't life a bitch?
There's a contest over at Copyblogger that could be good if you pinch it for The Post:
http://www.copyblogger.com/twitter-writing-contest/
The challenge is a coherent story in 140 characters.
Something like this:

Could be a larf, no?

Could be an interesting challenge actually. A story in 42 words...
I like it.

How do you fancy writing an initial one for us, then? We could then use it a bit like this:

So have we got any Milliways submissions not from me or ye?

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Jun 5, 2008
That's a shame. Still, I've got one in the pot, one ready to be emailed, and one locked in my soon-to-be-fixed (touch wood) PC - so we're good for a while yet.

I knew I'd left this thread somewhere...
This week's Stretcher challenge. Brilliant. I'm not saying that to try and brown nose, I actually hadn't thought that you guys would use this contest to try and give EG submissions a bit of a boost.
I'm half inclined to think you had this in mind from the start...

It's a very clever idea that works on many levels, if you'll allow me to be immodest for a moment. The thought that both PR and AWW could benefit hugely from an influx of writers, all writing the best pieces they could possibly come up with, was at the forefront of my mind, in fact
