Yes, it's been a bloody good day, thanks!

The great thing about being a decade older is that I've not been under any pressure to squeeze all my celebrations into one day.

Today (10th, my actual birthday) I had a good lie-in, then had lunch with my Dad, then went over to the heath for and - without the pressure of having to do any surveys or anything! - and then had a big family barbecue and walk.

Tomorrow we're all off to the races. I've got together a relatively large pile of cash which I fully intend to give to the bookies without worrying too much about whether I get any back; we're all going suited and booted, and I want to spend a large proportion of my money on fine cigars and good brandy. It's a 'who cares?' day

Thank you very much for the lovely s - I particularly look forward to unwrapping GB and sneaking off with Terri for a bit, especially if she's bought a picnic

I'd love to have a hootoo party for all the people on here - can you pop round tomorrow night?
