Where *did* the time go?
Leo Started conversation Feb 8, 2007
And I said January.
Just dropping a note to let you know that I'm working on the New Yorker project like mad and hope to be done real soon. Two entries on the Whites checked off, Shawn half done, that leaves just Ross, history part 3, and bits and bobs of history part 2. IOW: nearly done.
Hope you're available to sub. Or are you *still* working on that stage production thing?

Well, I am sort of, but that doesn't mean I'm not available to sub. I've been looking forward to this project!

That's an awfully long time to prep for a production. 'Round here school play time has just about wound down.
I'm really nearly done... a month or less.

Well, we have something like five or six plays a year. Of the four that have happened this year, I've been involved in two of them. I might do one more, but likely not. I'm going to be training to be head of the lighting crew for next year, though.
Anyway... a month, eh? I wait with bated breath.

Them's fightin' words, young lady. I'll show you.
Wow, five or six. Like a proper drama club ought to. How impressive. If I recall correctly, lighting is a much sough and fought over job, so enjoy.

Of all the jobs available in tech theatre at school, lighting is the only one they can't just bring in an outsider or newbie to do. So once you're trained, you've got the job, which is a great security for someone like me who seems to always be in a somewhat tenuous relationship with the drama department.

Good news and bad news - which ya want first?
Good news: I finished everything except the last historical entry, which would bring it up to date.
*pauses for applause*
Thankee thankee.
Bad news: In what I conceitedly thought was a very organised move from Point A to Point B, I seemed to have lost my notes for that entry. Since I had to cull through some pretty boring books for that info, this is a sad day indeed.
*blows nose*
In about a week I'll be moving back from Point B to Point A, so I hope they'll turn up. If they do, this will be done (really) by the end of April. If I threw them out instead of a stack of garbage papers carefully placed between my New Yorker Magazines, (ohpleezeohpleezohpleeeeeznooo!) it might take a drop longer.
Hope things are bright in the lighting booth.

Ah, good to hear from you! to the good news and good luck to the bad news... hopefully you'll find the notes!
*falls off edge of seat in suspense*
... and yep, those worklights covered in blue cellophane tend to yield a relatively large amount of luminescence.
