h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hey EMR...

I know this might not be your thing, I know it shouldn't be mine! But H2G2 needs these things and I reckon that you will be great for this sort of place and might get something out of it.

In short, I've updated the Young Researchers' Club. It actually DOES something now, there's threads for school, life, music, books, and a general chat thread that I hope might be a bit like the kids' version of Lil's Atelier and The Forum combined....or maybe I'll branch it into two, serious discussion and everyday stuff...

Anyway! Do please take a look. There's nothing much happening right now because I only did the update this afternoon, but I do hope to start spreading the news right this second. If you know anyone who might be interested please tell them

And got a point about including links for helplines...

So I went off to research it, because it's very important to me...

I'm finding a problem where it comes to the USA though so thought you might know some links and helplines that could help me get started for over there.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm.... well to be honest I don't really know offhand.

But what I can do is talk to people at school. We have this thing called the Gay-Straight Alliance at school, and the leaders of the group might know some helplines or support groups for kids who are struggling with coming out or whatever. I hope that would be of help. I'll talk to a friend of mine who knows these things, and get back to you.

Thanks, I got a LOT from Mikey The Humming Mouse because she's been a teacher and is a part-time councellor. Any more that you find to add to that list will be great. Don't worry about it though...I started looking for ones in the UK and got so bogged down that I was giving about 7 helplines for the same problem...which is useful but a bit overkill for here I think.
