Hello.
Warning! I ramble!
Could you be my new best friend?
This means that you need to know some things about me. I'll try not to get carried away.
The Great White North
Yes, I am a Crazy Cannuck . Please excuse my off tune humming of my national anthem durring your visit. I live in one of the more beautiful cities in Canada. We have the mountians only one hour west and a georgeous skyline. And, the Calgary Stampede! The only problem is the weather. Unpredictable would be the word used most often to describe our weather. A phenomenon that causes these changes is the Chinook (sp?) (shin-ook) this has something to do with warm air vs. cold air being trapped somewhere and creating a drastic change in temperature and air pressure. The good news: it's not -40C for a day. The bad news: a lot of people, myself included, get migranes. Anyway, it's not realy that bad up here. We have a few weeks of realy nice weather durring July and August. (Stampede week) The people here are the best, most friendly and fun you'll ever meet.
My hopes and dreams
You don't realy want to know this! And I don't have the time to tell you. In short, I hope to be happy and I dream of realy wierd things that make no sense.
Right now I am...
...anticipating my release from High School. (only 5 more months!)
...trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. (ahhhh! only 5 more months)
...working out what University courses to take. (Maybe heading towards Public Relations)
...trying not to stress about what University I'll be going to. (Hopefully BYU)
...learning how to get around on the net.
...trying to get along with my 3 younger sibs. (Yes, I am the oldest)
...working desperatly to help my parents let go of the thought that I'm 5 years old.
...thinking about trying to find a job soon.
...dreaming about finding that special someone. (no hurry though)
...trying to convince my family that I will not get married at 19! (Ahhhhh, responsibility!)
...going to stop babbling (sp?) so you can get on with your life.
*Big hug*
Thank you for becoming my new best friend. Now you might find out how wierd I can be.
I had a thought today...
It's kind'a off color
In my art class this afternoon I was finger painting to try and put my feelings into colors. While mixing colors with my fingers which feels rather squishy and wonderful, I realized something... when you add white to blue it's called light blue, white with green is called light green, ect. but, when you add white to red it's called pink, not light red. I found this strangely significant in my quest to link colors to my emotions. I think the reason for red with white being called pink is because red is so powerfull. Some may say that red is passionate but I find it more angry, whatever your oppinion of red is it is hard to deny the fact that red is a strong color. When it is diluted it becomes weak, and can therefore no longer be called red because the feelings that the color pink create are no longer powerfull. I don't think many people share the same enthusiasm for colors like I do. Please forgive my previous bad pun and also any one to come. Thanks for listening.
