Hallo :)
matodemi Posted Oct 11, 2007
Hallo Thomas,
even with a rise in salary I wouldn't be able to finance a car. What makes it worse: I wouldn't be able to drive it anyway. I am one of the few people who never bothered to get a driving licence.
As for the rest, I will wait and see. No hurry to think too much about it now.
As for the poem in the Post - it didn't take much courage for me. I like to express myself - and in the meantime I like to let other people know my feelings and to get some feedback. (I think everyone who likes writing gets to this point sooner or later).
From tomorrow I will be mother of three teenagers - my daughter will be 13 years of age...
Hope to read of you soon again
Tina

Hallo Tina,
You lucky thing! Three children and as from tomorrow three teenagers.
A good reason to be proud onto oneself.
Supposely, your flat must be full of life.
I`ve never had the luck to find a woman to get three children together, to watch them grow and to educate.
Maybe... I should leave it well enough alone. Heaven knows.
Yes, you`re right, I agree with you.
To wait and see seems to be the best solution in your situation.
More than to do your job, you can`t do, anyway.
Have you heard anything news about your exam?
I`m looking forward seeing you next time.
Thomas

Hallo Thomas,
oh, it is between lively and calm here. Just the right mixture.
Well, I didn't have the right husband as it turned out, but three great kids. That is at least one good result of my marriage.
I haven't heard of the exam, so I wrote an email to the chamber of commerce and industry, just to make sure the letter didn't get lost. Answer was, they haven't finished the correction yet and won't be ready before about mid November - so another thing I have to wait for (thank God I am used to waiting).
See you soon
Tina
Hallo :)
PaulchenPanther Posted Oct 12, 2007
Hallo Tina,
The right mixture would make me feel good, too.
I can`t agree with you in one point.
Concerning your husband my opinion differs from yours. Let me explain, please.
In my experience a lack of influence on situations as well as pressure, circumstances, etc. additionally aren`t to be underestimated.
I mean, three great children without any involvement of your husband?
The more time is till the oral exam, the more time you`ve got for preparation .
Well, you got do your job and this needs time you don`t have for exercises.
But on the other hand, as you need English every day at work, I guess, your oral English skills are getting better from day to day.
Do you use English at work every day ?
See you.
Thomas

Hallo Thomas,
oh, with saying I didn't have the right husband was just my way to say that the marriage didn't work out. We weren't compatible one could say. I am not one to put the blame on the man - we both fell in love, got married - and found out it didn't work out. Or rather, I found out, because my husband wouldn't be one to seek for a separation. It was better for all of us though.
At the moment I don't speak English at all at work. I had to speak and write in French once. Language skills were demanded, but not needed as much as they said. I still don't worry though. I will start worrying when getting my results - and only if they are not good.
Have a nice weekend
Tina
Hallo :)
PaulchenPanther Posted Oct 13, 2007
Hallo Tina,
I`ve had a nice weekend so far and I want to reply to an actually difficulty topic.
The first option I`ve got is, to tell you that your marriage is your matter all allone.
The second one is, to get involved but secretly at my address known to you.
As I´m neutral, the choice is yours.
I`m sure that your exam results are good as certain better than satisfactory.
Have a convenient evening.
Thomas
Hallo :)
matodemi Posted Oct 13, 2007
Hallo Thomas,
thank you for your concern.
But there is not more to say about my marriage anyway (I am almost separated as long as I was married).
As for the results of the exam, I don't know. But I was never good at guessing result (especially in the last years). It would be okay if it was a "3" but of course I hope for a "2". By no means it will be a "1", and I wouldn't want one anyway. A "4" wouldn't be satisfactory, but would mean I had passed it. Less than that I fear not. Can't have been that bad, altough I actually had some problems with my eyes, due to problems with my circulation (which I didn't know at that time).
I will have a nice evening in front of TV, watching criminal films. I shouldn't stay up too long though, I will have to sing in church tmrw.
Have a nice evening
Tina

Hallo Tina,
How are things going? I`ve learnt you`ve had a sportive evening.
The link to the mini meet was easy to find and I enjoyed your report twice because of some expressions I haven`t heard before.
Sometimes the search doesn`t lead to the result requested and I don`t know why.
I`m looking forward seeing you next time.
Kind regards,
Thomas
Hallo :)
matodemi Posted Oct 30, 2007
Hallo Thomas,
but I didn't use any unusual expressions (at least I am not aware of that). As long as don't start to quote Shakespeare everything is allright. But I must admit, reading King Lear was quite difficult this time.
But since I think of taking my A-Levels, I have to prepare somehow. Though I have not decided yet - in the years 2009 and 2010 they expect the knowledge of Romeo and Juliet, which I don't really like. And less than that, I worry about mathematics and biology. So I just have to make up my mind.
Hope you are having a good time
Tina
Hallo :)
PaulchenPanther Posted Oct 31, 2007
Hallo Tina,
I´m having a good time so far ... ok, there are some small interruptions, I`ve to confess.
I hope to get over them soon.
With the unusual expressions I just meant words I haven`t heard before.
In other words the mini meet report is easily comprehensible to me though I needed two or three times a dictionary.
Maybe, one day your dream comes true and you`ll pass your A-Levels.
Of course, on the first glance it`s no easy matter but you seem to own the ambition to manage.
I wish you a nice evening,
Thomas
Hallo :)
matodemi Posted Oct 31, 2007
Hallo Thomas,
actually the A-levels is sort of crazy idea.
And only because they didn't let me take them in my youth (lack of points in maths and biology). And somehow .... well I took the second best degree so far (Fachhochschulreife) a couple of years ago (didn't intend to, came out of a coincidence).
Problem will be that I cannot attend a school or take lessons in one way or the other but have to learn all by myself. Which in general is a problem in discipline and a big problem for maths and biology (I am not any better in that than in my youth).
And to buy all the necessary books is of course a problem as well (so it might take a year longer).
So I have not made the decision yet, but I know I have this feeling and urge to take them - so one day I will go and attempt it. If not now, then later.
Hope you have a nice day (is today or tomorrow the day off in Berlin?)
Tina
Hallo :)
PaulchenPanther Posted Nov 1, 2007
Hallo Tina,
Thanks a lot, the day`s been good so far. Crazy ideas as signs of liveliness? I agree, but just in case of the A-levels.
The second best level by chance sounds amusingly.
How would you like to manage the A-levels with a job, three children and a household? I mean the day only got 24 hours and you need at least seven of them to sleep. On the other hand I`ve learnt from pensioners who passed diplomas at universities. If I were you I`d take my chance when the time is ripe. In your opinion, discipline, maths and biology could be problems but I think you`re capable to meet the challenges for the A-levels. It´s worth trying.
This seems to me especially only a question of time. (and maybe of patience)
Did you mean official holiday in Berlin or day off? The first of November is a more Catholic holiday.
Have a nice evening.
Thomas
Hallo :)
matodemi Posted Nov 4, 2007
Hallo Thomas,
oh, to learn is not that difficult for me, at least for subjects I like. I managed the other level with a job, 3 kids - and enough sleep.
But then I had school every fortnight, so discipline wasn't the problem.
As for the day off - I know 1st of November is catholic, that's why it is the day off here in Northrhine Westfalia, but I don't know which part of Germany has which day off (besides Hessen, I know they are protestants).
Have to do some work today, get some paperwork ready and some preparing for the lessons I will give now ("Nachhilfe", or as it is called, because it is paid by the school "Förderunterricht")
see you later
Tina
Hallo :)
PaulchenPanther Posted Nov 4, 2007
Hallo Tina,
Have you had a nice weekend? Mine was acceptable without any highlights.(one great exception!)
As well as I know the first of November is official holiday in Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
I played a bit guitar with a friend this afternoon and intend to close down the day with a cup of herbal tea soon.
Have a good start of the week,
Thomas
Hallo :)

I rather expect a friendly year 2008!
Brandenburger Tor? Good idea, I prefered to stay at home to enjoy my kind of excitement.
