smiley - laugh Sorry, I can't say that I'm familiar with the series. I read a couple of her novels when they were still SciFi. Before science/fantasy became the genre of choice.

Two slices of toast, a simple fried egg (yolk done hard or broken), a slice of cheese, a bit of mayo and then ... for colour maybe a bit of lettuce and/or a thin slice of chilled tomato. Really yummy, covers a lot of the basic approved food groups, and is quite a filling meal done in minutes.

*translates 13.5 stone ... * About 10 pounds more'n me. Dare I ask how tall you are? smiley - smiley

A chap I have known for many years is considered a health concern via BMI. He's short, and a great load of muscle mass. It's a meaningless measure, as a lot of folks have finally realized. I have commonly been about 23, but am now probably about 26'ish.

That's what I get for marrying a military smiley - chef. ... Well, and some age factor too. smiley - doh

Dr. Kenneth Cooper has madea plausible case that very long sessions of continuous exercise are the only solution. That's great in his aerobics laboratory, but in real life the average person's chunks of free time occur in 30-minute (or shorter) chunks. Retirees can do one or two hours of running/walking/swimming/bicycling at a time, but you have to get rather old and tired out before you have that kind of schedule. smiley - sadface

i have just been working it out i am out for 2 hours a day if i take the time i am driving to places i reckon on about 45min depending on volume of traffic and traffic lights but there again thats not continues exercise i will have to time the walking tomorrow smiley - laugh

What sticks in my craw is the idea that you're exercising, not because you enjoy it while it's happening, or that you get that wonderful euphoria as you're coming out of the pool, but because some doctor somewhere says your numbers are not right. smiley - grr Being reduced to a set of numbers distresses me. smiley - wah

But I *do* love that feeling of euphoria just after swimming smiley - flyhi

Hi Rev

My bone density or something has my flotation point being about 16 inches below the surface. Swimming has never been a fun time ...

But in boot camp, I was able to do the push-ups on the bottom of the pool. smiley - laugh

Hi Rev

Hi Rev
