Why pariah?

Oh, I'm always happy to share any unpleasant weather. I am, how-ever, kinda miserly when nice and warm stuff arrives.

I've noticed

I have been known to share some of the nicer stuff on occassion. If I'm in a really charitable (read as ) mode.

We didn't see much of it this year I have to say

We were forecast to have a proper Canadian winter, which would make it the harshest and coldest in recent 15 years or so. We haven't seen any of that yet ...

Yeah, our weather forcasters said we'd have the hottest summer on record

And the ache in my left big toe told me to expect a lottery windfall. We are all scientific, eh?

Yeah, although that ache could be gout

Actually, it's likely a bunion. But hey, if 'gout' sells better.

Just say that Henry VIII suffered from it

He doesn't carry a lot of 'weight' in this corner of the world. Maybe Jacques Cartier, or William Lyons MacKenzie.

Which means nothing to me, is Jacques Cartier of the Jewellery people

Nawww, just a French explorer credited with 'discovering' Canada. He mapped most of the primary waterway that subsequent generations came in along.

Ah, ok

It's known that Vikings were the first Europeans to set foot over here, but as names weren't recorded, the French and English explorers generally get all the credit. Go figure?

Yep, I figured

Ya know it's them Brit's and Franco's that have all the PR money. Have you ever seen some Viking promoting his own airlines, for instance?
