Peter Clatworthy
Masonic Administrator, Historian, Writer, Lecturer, Professional Actor and Sportsman, Peter Clatworthy is the Grand Secretary of The Grand Lodge of All England at York, the Ancient and Honourable Society and Fraternity of Freemasons meeting since time immemorial in the City of York. Peter Clatworthy is dedicated to his work in the performing arts. He appears quite often on English television and has played roles in both "Emmerdale" and "Heartbeat". Peter has recently appeared in the lead role of "Man" in Punchcut at the Etcetera Theatre in London. His latest role is "Detective James Goldie" in "The Knightsbridge Robbery" for Sky Crime and Investigation Network.
Peter played semi-professional Football, and Cricket. He is best known in the world of Cricket where he is a qualified English and Wales Cricket Board Coach and a founder member of the ECB Officials Association.
As an Umpire for the North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier Cricket League, he stands throughout the Summer in what is recognised as one of the leading cricket leagues in the Country. Peter also umpires in the Heavy Woollen Challenge Cup, The Harrogate Evening League, The Whixley League, and in representative matches for the Lord's Taverners, the Universities, and the Northern Ladies' Cricket League.
Peter Clatworthy coaches The Emmerdale All Stars Cricket Team which has raised many thousands of pounds for children's cancer charities under the leadership of Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard in Emmerdale).
