well.... it seems to work for/as a good general coping mechanism, for just.... 'life in general', and also for any particular aspect thereof so far at least I just fear what will happen........ if my levels of surreal contin uphill, at the same rate they've done the last err..... couple months, right until the 'bitter end' as it were.... - that's potentially one heck of a lot of surreal by the end of all this nonsense which........ could be fun

Here's another example of the nineties not being real.

I was just watching a vid of a rave, circa '93ish. And I went to one or two, and recognise the fashions, the style, the music and the dancing, but...

There's no way on this that I looked *that* much of a tit while dancing. Did I?! (Probably worse, actually!

I never recall doing any dnancing..... but.... I don't recall much of that era, largely due to the volumenous amounts of recreational drugs... so potentially... anything is possible I guess! Hmmm.... I had quite a mispent youth in many respects.... hmmm. well, I say 'mispent youth', I was doing quite well at carrying it on into my late thirty's, until recent events .... caught me short a bit.... Hmmm.... I mean.... made me take a sebatical for a while from continueing to mispend my youth; I simply move my birth year foward by a decade, every decade, Currently I'm claiming to have been born in 1996 I've yet to convince anyone of this though,....

I can't remember which year it was, probably '93, but there was a very, very brief "summer of love" thing going on, before the whole thing became dominated by thugs with guns looking to make money. There was a kind of rose-tinted idealism and dreamy optimism for a tiny while, which was fun to be part of.

I think that utopian wave only lasted for about three weeks.

yeh.... I think that was the bit I recall; 93 was a kinda cool year for me..... right up until near the end..... when I got run over, and lost my sight (that was in the December).... hmm.... then things all went a bit downhill TBH until I emerged from hospital the following year Hmmm.... any connection with drugs and my acident is purely..... hmm.... circumstantial I oughta be quite thankful I made it to my twentys really.... let alone my thirtys.... and almost... *touch wood* into my forthys now I was quite a naughty teenager seems I've finally learnt how to behave, just a pity the lessons it took to make me do so.... were a wee bit on the extreme side mind.... some of the misbehving was* a lot of fun

damnit. now I wanan go stand in a field, with my chemo-counting-ribbons in my hair, and do some dancing! yeh... right... like I could muster the energy for that right now
