Strange Day

It's a strange sort of day today. In the callcentre, the phones are still quiet, but most of the calls we're getting are worried people wanting information about the situation in London.

Everyone here is sitting at their desks quietly, repeatedly hitting refresh on the BBC news pages. People are subdued. Latest reports suggest, unconfirmed, 20 dead. I don't want to be here today.

New Phone

Just bought a nifty new mobile phone. By the time I've read all thr manuals and figured out how it works it'll be obsolete.

Here again

At work, usually quiet for the first couple of hours. Sitting here waiting, Cup of coffee, snacking on a pack of nuts, watching it rain...

...and I spoke too soon. twenty minutes of calls in a row...

*sigh*

Silence is golden

It's all gone quiet.

Except for the incessant bleeping of this bleeping computer at work, coming up with bleeping error messages every five bleeping minutes. Need a cig-break.

smiley - erm
