Childhood Memories of My Hero James Nightall G.C.
Hello, I am 60 year old lady living in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, where I have resided since 1983. I was brought up in Peterborough, Northamptonshire, now Cambridgeshire, and I would like to tell you about James Nightall my childhood hero - doesn't everybody need a childhood hero? James had died at 1.43 am on 2nd June 1944, at the age of 22, whilst a fireman working for the London and North Eastern Railway Company. This was six months before I was born, but I know that he didn't die in vain.
