I was going to post simply, ... offering you a calming . Because I know all too well the people involved. And how blind they always are to their own mis-deeds.

What annoys me as much as anything is that, even if the rare time they see the error of their ways, they just shrug and say "oh well". The word apology is absolutely foreign to some.

They see the error of their ways?!?!?!?

Earlier, via the <./>Info</.> page I just happened to catch the drift that another friend is engaged. Both are researchers, clever, fun, good people and just that 80% insane as required by membership rules. I'm very happy for them.

Pen? Paper? How archaic ... I suppose you also use a slip-stick to do basic arithmetic.

Personally, I know that I simply don't have the talent to string words together. Verse or prose.

Well it's my first go at something that doesn't rhyme

I tried rhyming and non, as a teen. Quite a load of wasted tree shavings on that venture. Then I tried my hand at sci-fi. A whole slew of stories in one week-end, ranging from a couple of pages to one that was 40 pages. All typed on a late-50s vintage Underwood typewriter.

And I've not been able to do it since. One great blow-out must have drained my limited 'pool'.


Ummmm, sorry, ... 'slip-stick' is a very old term used for slide-rules.

I have thought of perhaps a dozen guide entries ... And all but one have been done already. That one, some day ...

How's your week getting on? Yesterday is what some would call a "bank holiday" for us, so today is the equivalent of a Monday.

I'm not very keen on Mondays, ya know.

well it's the school summer Holidays so I'm off yay! *dances* we go back in september, we have 6 weeks! and I think we're on week 3 but don't quote me on that my memory is terrible

Nice little dance it was too.

I 'earn' a grand total of 15 paid vacation days a year, and ate up most of them already. Visiting my in-laws last month, a few necessary days for home repairs and stuff. I have no idea what I'd do with a 5 - 6 week stretch, ... I think I'd have to plan and line up a LOT of stuff to keep me occupied. And 'mostly' out of trouble.
