Hi Pon. Re <>
My teacher prefers that we abtract using 'interior subjects.' That ain't gonna happen in the next decade. There are no interior subjects inside me. I looked. There's nothing in here except big echoing empty spaces. Nobody's home chez Ani. But don't tell anybody.
As for your watercolours: You would choose the most difficult medium! I have never been able to do anything in watercolours. It just feeds into my craziness. I won't even let myself water down my acrylics. All my pigments have to be completely mixed on the palette with only a touch of water before I am happy to put them on the gesso. My friend L is even more crazy. She only allows herself a very limited and weird palette. Actually me too. Preference for alizaron red, an orange yellow, and white. I love the weird way they mix up. Gak! But I hate painting.
Anyway, I thought I would let you know that Andy is a watercolourist.
Is your mathematical art geometrical? What colours do you use? Can you scan a digi-foto of your painting onto that fotosite where your foto is? By the way, I saw your smiling self on that site. Ani.

Ani, I hope you don't mind me butting in on this conversation... I am not a Catholic, but I am a Christian. You may or may not have noticed (as I have in the 3 and a half years I have been on hootoo) that there is a lot of anti-Christian, especially anti- Catholic feeling here. I have been reading this conversation with great interest.

Hi Adelaide. You can butt in here. I have noticed the anti-Christian sentiment here. I don't care anymore. After what has happened to me in the last month on the boards nothing matters to me anymore.
I thought I had seen people behaving badly before. But I had yet to witness the manifest evil of (1) supposedly 'good' people turning a blind eye and (2) temper tantrum holding sway over reasonable discourse.
I was well into explaining to you what had happened when I realized this would just get me into more trouble with the mods. I have been restored to post moderation just this past Friday after being premodded for a month and really do not want to walk the road of shame again.
Are you alerting me to the possibility that a conversation between two Catholics (Pondero and I) may not be well received at h2g2? Why should that be? Do people not have the choice of unsubscribing from the conversation? In any case, why should I care?
So just to be clear: if there is anyone out there in virtual land who is reading this thread and who takes issue with the Catholicism herein, this is what I am requesting you to do:
1)Unsubscribe from the conversation, as it really was intended as a private communication between Pondero and myself. (I don't mind you lurking or even joining in as long as you exercise some self-control and respect.)
OR
2)If you really MUST challenge any of the views set out here, start a thread on the BBC Christian Topic Message Board to my attention. I may or may not respond. That is my prerogative. However, you are bound to get droves of takers.
OR
3) both (1) and (2).
Thank you, Adelaide, for your concern for me. And thank you everyone else for your kind consideration of my requests. Ani.

<< I have noticed the anti-Christian sentiment here>>
I thought you might have, and I am embarassed because I didn't notice the extent of it when I was first here...

Oh no, I wasn't referring to this specific conversation!

You're welcome! (Someone said on a smiley thread that she thought that looks more like a blithering idiot smiley than a big grin!)
I found this particular conversation fascinating.

It is morning Ani, and Sunday morning at that, and I have been up only 20 minutes, so I will take a photo of that old painting of mine hanging in the basement and try to send it digitally as I did the other one of myself to someone I didn't know.
I may have some artistic talent to supplement my math and my conversion experience, which may be incoroporated into some painting in the future. Who is Andy?

Ani:
I hope I didn't contribute to Liz RM's thread going downhill, but, you know I see red when I read some of the pompous, so called scientific stuff being paraded about on a thread. It is not scientific and is used for Christian bashing, and that is the Christian board!
Yvonne, knows her science and even though I disagree with her frequently, I respect her scientific views and she doesn't bash anyone - unless they are YECs.

Best to disengage and retreat. I learned that the hard way.
Best to think in term of short skirmishes: get in, do the job, get out. Bivouac til another opportunity presents itself.
Avoid engaging the opponent directly except to make alliances. Leave direct engagement to other opponents.
Losses are only information.
Stalemates are better than victories. Victories create underground resistance.

I don't think I lost that debate against what was a group of two, "psuedo-scientific neanderthals.". After I wrote about Yorkshire, one of them responded that "I am sorry I didn't know your first language wasn't English." I thought the humour in that exchange was priceless.
Later on under a titleless thread Pukon and I reconciled our differences and after agreeing that further discussion was pointless, ended the conversation amicably.
I haven't got around to photographing my work of art hanging in the basement yet. I am forgetting where I am supposed to send the digital picture. Could you tell me who it is please?
Did you ever read my private mail to you on Sparrows? ( or coffee is appropriate right now.)

Go to my intro on my space. Scroll down to the 'This Just In...' section. There is a link there called 'Detention Centre and Pitcher Gallery. Click on that. The woman who runs the foto gallery is azahar. She is on my friends list.

There is a hidden part of the Sparrows board which is used for development. The person in question started a thread there. I posted my reply by private message. Since the moment I posted my reply I have not entered Sparrows again. So any private messages people have sent me at Sparrows since the time I left have been unopened and therefore unanswered by me.
I'm sorry if people have been wondering why I haven't replied to their private messages (assuming there is more than just yours in my mailbox). I really don't see the point in my continuing to be there.

Yeah, coffee (decaf) is probably better than the tea I am about to poison myself with right now. A nun neighbour of mine usually ends up at Timothy's in the morning. Maybe I'll go see what's new with her. Then I have a ton of work to do. Catchya later. Ani.
