Tim, Sal, Heav: More refugees?

Well, being an utterly impartial picture-takerer thingy, the featured paintings tend to be the ones wot my kids did.
I'm just experimenting with some boards to go with the logs.

Boards are good. Architraves burn really nicely though. Remind me to tell you my you my birch story. Ani. PS. I sent you an experimental email. It isnt much of an email. But it was the only one I had at the moment.

Wot d'ya mean by 'eh'? I am assuming that, because my experimental email hasnt come back yet with a mailer daemon notice on it, that it got through and that therefore I figured out the email address correctly. Ani.

I didn't see Delwyn's email there. Only a church with flowers and paintings. And then some logs. I gather the logs are for the woodburning stove? Ani
Well we can't give you any more hints - just try emailing to Delwyn at the place where you found the pictures of the church and flowers. Sheesh! It's like trying to pull teeth sometimes.

Oh Ian. YOU were the one saying 'eh.' I thought it was Sally saying 'eh.'
if you google timnsal.com, then a menu comes up on the screen. timnsal gets you to a mysterious white expanse with a link at the top. but you know that because you visited the flowers and the paintings.
but if you select some of the other things on the menu you get to pages with the word 'log' on them and then a bunch of things which I can't read.
being reluctant to admit my complete lostness around the logs, I asked Sally if the logs were for firewood. To which she graciously replied, yes, and that she was trying to acquire some boards. the ctmb would be a good board to start with.
do you understand now? ani.

Yeah, especially if they're made of mdf. Just don't stand downwind of the architraves.
Suppose it helps to make Delwyn's kebabs more appetizing.
Sally (using Tim's computer cos he's using mine to answer the email and way to lazy to relog in. Shall we tell Lynne one day that she could use the same login at home and work?)

Coo, I never knew that. What's worrying is that, apart from the first one, the stuff google brings up is (or was) all us.

Nah! I think she likes having noms de plumes. She seems very cheered up today with her song lyrics. I found a good website for acquiring lyrics. LetsSingIt.com Ani.

Lucky we had this conversation then. I just assumed that that white page, the menu of flower pictures, and the pages of logs were supposed to be there. Have things flown south? Ani.

I already figured out it wasnt the tinsel. It was the delwyn.
Poor Ian trying to read this.
I bet you he is busy trying to figure it all out too. Ian, hurry up! Ani.

Hi Ian.
I'm glad it's let you in now. Don't know why it wouldn't before
Yes, we've been there since we moved house about a year ago. A friend from the old chuch came to help with the flower festival (She did the porch) so I took the photos so she could show all her flower-arranging friends back in Cheshire.
I should have taken some in the last few days of the place covered in tape and cardboard scaffolding - holiday club time! Still, we seem to have survived, and the kids appear to have enjoyed themselves. Although that was the nice bit of being a newcomer - I didn't have to do any of the preparation (Wonder if I can manage to dodge it next year too?)

Ani:
I can speak freely here. I am not a refugee from the board, and I have no trouble with the Mods, although it seems many people have. I am not sure I am welcome here, even if I behave myself as all this talk about Delwyn, kebabs and places in Wales does leave me cold.
Anyhow, because of my current emotional state I think I will remain on the CMB for now. It helps pass the time.

Pon: My impression is that there are some hurt feelings between Dai and yourself. I do not think it is anything that cannot be straightened out. Differences in style only.
As for being welcome, I have no problem with you being here. We don't agree on everything. I don't expect to.
As for Delwyn leaving you cold, seriously: Sally, Tim, Ian, and I are more or less working through what we want and how we are going to get along, particularly with new refugees. (And there is a terminology that evolves in our conversations; so I will stick with 'new refugees.') I believe that Sally, Tim, and Ian will want to be as flexible as possible. I would like to be flexible too.
Delwyn and the whole mornington lexicon is part of the package, however.
The concern I had was about shut-down artists. There are a few people on the board who have gone straight for my jugular. It is not a matter of being in disagreement with them. It is a matter of my taking issue with the way they have treated me. And so, if those people were to come over, I would leave. That's the way I am.
As for ecclesiastical mornington crescent: I want to learn how to play. It is not an easy game. Up to now, I have been essentially a poseur as far as mc goes.
I have replied to you this time to clarify some things. However, I would be more comfortable if you had some chats with Ian, Tim, and Sally. And, when Dai comes, I would like you to try and be friends with him. Ani.

Pondero,
It's nice to hear from you. As you say, the advantage of being over here is that we can speak more freely, and the mods do seem to have been making that difficult on the CMB sometimes.
The Delwyn stuff - feel free to ignore it. On the CMB, we tend to use it on threads where the initial reaction is to go in with all guns blazing, and the humour can be used to reduce the tension a little. (Even if it's not very funny sometimes, if it helps to prevent a few unpleasant postings...) I used it on h2g2 to give people a way to find us, if they wanted to.
You are very welcome to join us, any time.
