Hey Hip. An opportunity of ecc m c has opened up on the CTMB. (A thinly subscribed thread on abbeys.) It would have to be very much more subtle and covert than any of our previous efforts for the following reasons:

The author hates m c.
The author doesnt get along with Dai.
The mods are gunning for Dai.
The mods are gunning for me.
Put Dai and I together on the thread and the Mods are sure to find trouble.
The computer has a thing for some place names (but not all). So posts would have to have a lot of context to them, descriptions of the countryside, kind of architecture, windows, history etc to avoid giving the Mods the idea that some kind of meeting is being set up (which it is not).
I suggest starting in the North of Scotland and working south toward Westminister Abbey.
Perhaps we could establish a mile limit on moves.
As for rules on advantages and penalties: hey, your the expert.

They pulled my first reply to Dai for using foreign words (Vogon) even though I translated.
They pulled my second reply to Dai for using foreign words (Vogon with translation again).
They pulled my third reply to Dai for being off-topic (but left my first post entitled pangalacticgarglebasters4u as well as Dai's and Tim's reply)
As for being premodded. It's kind of spooky actually. Sometimes I have to wait a really long time before my post comes up. And sometimes not. So maybe I am only premodded when a certain Mod is at the desk. I dunno. In any case, I have to tread carefully because I have had my posts pulled several times now for cutting and pasting and for posting place names (at which I totally had no intention or ability of meeting anyone).

It's bizarre that, on a Christian board, we can't

*use greek, latin, or hebrew
*quote passages
*discuss places
*develop a theme to the point where someone can 'complain' about it being off-topic

It's bizarre that this doesnt apply to other religion boards.
It's bizarre that the more whacko among us do not seem to be pulled ever (but maybe they are and I don't notice)

My feelings are not hurt. But I will write another detailed letter to Beeb management. I feel they need to take a really close look at the anti-discrimination legislation and the hate legislation. My goodness! Some of the vile, unsubstantiated, whacko stuff that gets posted! I am astonished. I really think that the rules need to be amended to work for the board.

The only author I know of of the thread on Abbeys is myself Pondero. The only person to reply to it is Sir Sheard of Yetton. Are you being disingenuous here - in other words not what you appear to be?
