or some other person with power
if the message gets removed from here
it will show up elsewhere

also i am writing to tptb on the bbc and elsewhere

i just spent 5 minutes deleting conversations that i have,
i thought,
contributed to these last couple of weeks...
i deleted the ones where there was absolutely no response to my offerings...
no laugh, no sneer, no thank you, no nothin...
not even a stinkin smiley...

and normally i wouldnt give anyone the satisfaction
to let them know i noticed the brush offs or the silence
let alone that i even care...
but...
since no one IS paying any attention to me



what do i have to worry about?!
no one is seeing this

btw there are a few folks who i have no idea who they are who are 'following' me

aaaaanyway...

i have stuff to do
and my life is picking up
theyve given me a clean bill of health
and i can go out into the world again

so i dont need a place like this anymore anyway

however...
it is sooo cool i can use this space to organize my thoughts about this place
and the entities who hang out here

there are some really worthy folks here
but
for the most part
the ones posting right now
are pretty much
game players, sock puppets and slackers

and... i might add... destructive antisocial bullies
who care nothing about the infrastructure or great legacy of this site

The ACEs aren't able to delete entries, they are just ordinary users who welcome newcomers. The only people who can remove journal entries, conversations and entries are the BBC staff, italics and moderators,though usually if it's referred for moderation : ie yikesed.

i have been trying here to compose a note to you that is simple
and states clearly what i am experiencing here

but i have been unsuccessful

it appears that someone has manually removed postings from my journal
based solely on their own personal issues

it is not just an automatic removal

h2g2 has a resident troll and a following
who appear to have been here for years
and who are very abusive in convoluted ways

and they are a blight on the site

and will be on the new one too

the only way you can counteract them
and actually get rid of them
is to recognize their behaviour patterns
and remove any postings and/or user names who display that pattern

names mean nothing
there are so many sock puppets
that i wonder if a cleanup is even possible

there have been numerous comments thru the years i have been here
concerning the exodus of researchers from this site
most of these comments refuse to acknowledge it might be because of the hostile atmosphere here...

i wish you all the luck in the world
i think the site itself is a work of art
and its makes me very sad
that this vermin has come in
and is eating away at its foundation
