cooking's pleasure

What's so fun about cooking?
nothing, believe me ! and here, a little story to show you why ...

Everything started a few days ago when i had my driving license. I decided i would bake some cakes and bring some drinks to my scuba diving club to celebrate the event (the chance that I had my driving license one day were quite odd considering the fact that I can't overhaul a bike).
Each time I bring cakes to my club, many people ask me if my moyher made some "macarons" (I don't know the english word for that but believe me they are just so good) so i thought i could cook some, and rather stupidely refused my mother's proposition to do them coz I thought I could do an effort for a change

Chocolate macarons are very very long to make so it took me 3 hours to bake 40 of them plus a yoghourt cake (made with white cheese coz there was no more yoghourt)and to slander the kitchen and a dozen plates and tools.
Of course the macarons were a total failure : some were burnt, some were flat (which they are not supposed to be), some had wierd shapes, some were too dry...

so what's cooking's pleasure :
Is it spending an hour cleaning up the kitchen knowing you'll have to eat the wierd things you've just baked ?
OR is it realising that there is no scuba diving club meeting today so you've spent your whole afternoon in your kitchen and end up spending a lonely evening, face to face with 40 burnt macarons ??????

Hairdressers back to Golgafrinchan

I went to the hairdresser last thursday and now feels hateful towards hairdressers (or at least the one who dressed my hair) and ask myself a thousands questions :

What on earth did I do to this women to make her having such a revenge on my hair? I can swear I was polite and kind so why did she cut my hair in such an horrible way ??

Why do hairdresser understand "cut as much as you want" when you say "I don't want to have short hair", and "make it as ugly as you can, I don't care" instead of "I'm not sure, maybe you can advice me"?

Why did she ask me the permission to cut a centimeter on a wisp of hair after having cut at least 1 kg hair without permission ?

Do the fact of saying "hum, isn't it a bit messy?" when I thought "I look like having survived a plane crash!" make me an hypocrite person?

Well I'd had a lot more to ask about hairdressers pent-up aggressiv tendancies, but it would be boring and I guess there are more tragic issues than uggly hair cuts (at least, like a friend of mine told me, now if the bus driver laughs when I come in, I'll know why...)
