Tuesday's I go round to a friends for a natter, he has osteoarthritis(I think it's that one)his vertebrae are crumbling and he is virtually wheel chaired. We, as in him me and his wife have a morning natter, covering any and all subjects.
We are also "partners" in doing the Irish lottery/lotto-45 numbers

Apart from putting £1 on nat: lottery once a week, my only foray into betting was 10 p each way on the Grand National ,years ago,and someone else did that for me!

Am taking daughter for pre- op: tests thurs; & fri, so will catch up with you end of week(hospital 150 miles away,so staying over).

Hi,Prof: We're back! tests were o.k. but they want us back sometime between june 18 and july 25 for "sleep study" to check daughter is breathing o.k. overnight.Another stay in hospital....

It's not hard to do, they're both over 6ft tall.

I once applied at our job centre to be a brain surgeon, told them that there were plenty of morons about to practice on. But they wouldn't let me, because I'd only got a spear and jackson saw and a pair of pliers

You wanna see what hardware they use in orthopaedics - or perhaps you know !!.I think you'd make a very good brain surgeon, you have the temprament and the sense of humour required

when I was 10, I had a operation on my back(I was there at the time)and I was sat up in the operating theatre with Mr Birkin showing me all the equipment, scalpels/saws/ you name it, I was lapping it up, until they came with the injection!then panic!!.
A nurse who took a blood sample days earlier for matching must have been a vampire ?,she kept jabbing my arm until it was black and blue and she gave me because of it, a fear of injections even today

Docs are the worst at giving injections !
Your nurse must have been a newbie ,or p'raps she was hoping to scare you into keeping quiet & behaving..........................................didn't work, did it?
