Hi Sarah!

Being a nosy individual I had a quick lurk in your space and it is very nice - time I spent some hours studying GuideML as mine is so BORING at the moment.

I don't think you're being cheeky at all - if you don't ask you don't learn! I very rarely use the tarot cards as what you get is often definitely not always what you want; and we've had some scary (did I really see that) moments. Many years ago, I saw something pretty nasty for a friend and warned him not to do something specific. He thought I was joking and carried on anyway - sadly he had an accident which ended his life. You can I hope understand my reticence. I have never read the cards professionally.

On to sunnier matters Did I see that you are into gardening?

Hya again!

Sorry for delay - I now have to complete with daughter for computer time and she mostly wins. Ah well.

As you sounded disappointed that I couldn't help with the cards, perhaps the following site might be of use:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U516771

It was a personal space I lurked into earlier today; more in your area of the country I spose being in Lancashire - it may be of use.

Gardening: I love it - mine is mostly edibles like sweetcorn, courgettes, brussels, kid beans etc. I also do a fair bit of wildlife gardening and provide plants and feeding for the feathered variety. We also have a couple of resident foxes and the odd hedgehog. Pond to be included next spring.

Let me know if the above site was helpful

take care

Good Morning (is it morning?)

Don't knock the flowers - they add beauty, birds, butterflies and peace!

Not everyone has the time/inclination for veg. I try to do both.

Just sit back and enjoy.

Hi Laying on a bedoflilies!

Yes veg is hard work; but very rewarding when you are sitting on the patio with a barbecue and cooking your own sweetcorn yum yum. I do have flowers though 5 rose bushes + 1 in a patio pot. an arch with morning glory and clematis growing up one side and sweet peas up the other. I keep seeds from year to year and then throw them around willy nilly to grown next year. I am currently collecting seedheads from some Lavatera which is large and very pink, has loads of seeds and they are currently in their 3rd year. The kids would love to do that I'm sure. I also have loads of large pots of different herbs.

The only frog I've seen in my garden jumped out at me from under the potato leaves a few weeks ago and disappeared into my border. Must get that pond put in next spring.

Also planted an apple tree which is now in fruit (cooking) and have loads of bird feeders.

To say that the garden is only about 24ft square, I don't seem to do too badly.

Keep in touch

Morning Sarah

Your garden sounds absolutely great. Everybody should do something to be different. Blue will blend with the colour of flowers. Sweet Peas may present something of a problem though. I'm no expert but although they will seed nicely, don't they need long canes to grow up. Mine are growing over an arch. Still I suppose if you don't put canes they will simply travel over the rockery. Sounds really good.

Hi Sarah

Sorry for the delay - currently have Daughter and Boyfriend staying, so its always a fight for the computer.

Not really been doing much over the last few days, picking kidney beans to freeze so we've got some for when Santa comes.

I'm probably a bit thick; or its because my Daughter is now 21 and I don't watch childrens telly any more - but who the dickens is Brewster Bear? and why is Megan so scared of him? as you said you'd given her a bottle, I take it she's not all that old yet.

Have to go now as there are cries of Mum coming from the kitchen - its amazing how I'm urgently needed as soon as I sit here isn't it?

Speak soon

Hi Sarah

Never heard of Brewster - perhaps you could get a cheap bear suit from one of these hire people; and get somebody really nice to be inside. They could then show themselves and perhaps she would realise that Brewster is only a game.

Take care

talk to you soon.

Hi friend!

Glad Megan enjoyed her first day. It's a long time since my Daughter was at playschool. She loved it once I had been gone two minutes; but whilst I was preparing to go, she played merry hell and I thought she didn't like it. I felt so guilty leaving her, till the Supervisor told me to go one day and then sneak round to the window and watch. As soon as I'd left, Daughter obviously forgot all about me and really got into the swing of making new friends and having fun. It makes a world of difference to the child's ability to mix with others and learn to share. When they get to real school, they have a distinct advantage over those who stayed home till then. I soon got roped in to help, which was great fun and eventually I became Treasurer of my local playgroup. You have to be careful though, I found when being in charge of games, that its difficult to be impartial when your own child is playing at being the first to sit down when the music stops etc. I usually let somebody else win, in case anyone thought I was favouring my own.

Let me know how she gets on.

It's that bl**dy woman again!

I stopped before I was finished cos Daughter needed to use the computer.

It's always more difficult for the Mum than the child when they go to playschool. You have given them everything and its difficult to think that they can have a little life without your constant care.

Hopefully, you will soon be able to extend the coffee with a friend and be able to enjoy a bit of free time for yourself. What about your other children? I thought you said you had more than Megan.

Do you have to cope on your own?

I have spent a (pleasant?) afternoon making tomato chutney - the kitchen stinks of vinegar and the family have departed in droves, even the dog is whinging.

On a lighter note! Last night, I gave the dog a bone. He spent hours with it on the patio, and then left it outside at bed-time. Around 3:00am, the security light came on and we looked out of the bedroom window in time to watch Mrs Fox disappearing through the hedge, with Scamp's bone happily clenched between her jaws, followed by two small cubs who where perhaps hoping for a share. This morning, Scamp was looking puzzled when he went out at 5:00 and couldn't find his bone! smiley - wah
