Sugar Sugar
Posted Oct 1, 2004
People who know me, know that I'm not a morning person. This was exemplified this morning, by my utter incapability to keep a firm grasp of the bowl of sugar here at work, which spectacularly exploded it's crystalline contents liberally over the carpet when I dropped it.
I'm also not an evening person. Going out on the lash and staying up late these days is getting harder and harder - not impossible, it's just that it feels unnecessary. I suppose you could say I'm a 'middle of the day' kind of person. I sometimes feel as if I'm in a constant state of either waking up, or waiting for sleep. Perhaps it's my diet? Hey ho.

I've just completed Doom3! Yaay! I thwarted Dr Wassisname like the hardassed cool hero I always knew I was. Well done me. I may now do a little victory dance to the tune of Fantastic Plastic Machine's "S'il Vous Plait".
Looking at my saved games, it's taken me just over a month. If you're thinking 'duh, I could have done it quicker' then go stick your head in a pig. Contrary to popular opinion, I do have a life, and I don't spend all my spare time playing computer games. Now, where's Tetris got to?

Learn to SPEAK, dammit!
Posted Sep 24, 2004
Ok, here's a few pet peevs...
People who say "I could of done this", instead of "COULD HAVE".
People who say "One off these" instead of "ONE OF THESE".
People who mispronounce sixth, and say "SICKTH".
People who dazzle me with their FULL BEAM whilst driving.
So, for pity's sake, if you hear or read anyone blundering ignorantly along with any of the above, please correct them, and then KICK THEIR HEAD IN!

Tertiary Phase

I've not long listened to the first episode of the new HitchHiker's radio series. It kicked ultimate ass! Apart from Zaphod sounding a little older (or hungover - difficult to tell after three stiff drinks) it follows on from the first two radio series as if 26 years were a mere 26 minutes. They very cleverly introduced the new voice of the book, and with hindsight, there really was no other better way of doing it.
Fanbloodytastic!
I await the rest of the programmes with severe impatience. If I could step into a stasis field for seven days, I would. Hurry up next Tuesday!

Wedding DVD
Posted Sep 20, 2004
Finally finished off a friend's wedding video last night. Just have to wait for his ok, and I can start cleaning my hard disk. Then have to finish off colour grading for the sitcom test scene. Then murderdeathkill more demons from hell in Doom3.
