Holy Tyres Batman!

Punctures eh? I haven't had one in years, and then had a flat tyre on Saturday night at 10.30 pm, 70 miles from home. I'd heard a loud bang, thought maybe a stone had hit the car, but then felt the juddering, and as I released my hands from the steering wheel could feel it pulling to the side. I reckon I COULD have changed the tyre myself, but it would have taken me an hour, and the trickiest bit would have been cutting the cable ties holding on teh wheel trim. My car now carries a mini-multi-tool, and extendable wheel brace, and AA membershipsmiley - smiley

Yes, they are a pain but we all get them now and again. Its not too difficult to do at the side of the road. As long as you have a decent wheel brace and not the pathetic things that come with the car. One of those reflective yellow coats and a pair of gloves is a good idea too.
At least you had a night in shining armour when you had your blow out. Sounds so much more spectacular than puncture, although mine was more of a phtt phtt phtt as the wheel went round. smiley - erm
