Susan Sontag

The woman I should have liked to have been - for her intelligence, her guts, her talent.

SAVE GW

To everyone on my contacts list:
1. Please sign the petition to SAVE GW - if you have already signed, DON'T sign again. Kittyred is doing a tremendous job and we should not make it even more difficult for her. So, if you have not signed, sign. If you have, forget this part of the message.
2. If you can, please come to the meeting tonight, chaired by kittyred, on Wordplay at 7:00 p.m. UK time.
And please circulate this meaasge (or its contents) to everyone on Your contacts list.
Thanks everybody. We have all got to stick together and hopefully, we will be able to overturn this incredible decision on the part of the BBC!

Fiction vs Non-Fiction

Some incredibly good writing in the non-fiction, some great stories, going from the tragic to the hilarious, a window on the real world. I don't feel quite so enthusiastic about the fiction postings. Personal preference, I suppose.
