Oh, jaysus, no! I just hope you're going away educated. smiley - smiley

Apart from Andrews geese, most species named after people take an apostrophe and are therefore indistinguishable from the possessive, surely? Humboldt penguins, Humboldt squid and Wedell seals are exceptions, but possibly they're named for geography.

I think the seal is named after the Wedell sea, but then that's probably named after someone too.
